Tryouts for all NEW Swimmers  
Tues. Sept. 4th at 6 AM at Half Hollow Hills Natatorium 
Half Hollow Hills Natatorium is .5 mile East of SA on Wolf Hill Road

Tryouts for all CURRENT Girls Varsity Swimmers:
Your tryouts will be held on: Tuesday, August 28th at 6:00 am (regular time) 

Practice: Every Tues. and Thurs. mornings from 6-7 am at Half Hollow Hills Natatorium (our “home” pool).  The swimmers are then bused to St. Anthony’s for school.

Meets:  Our season consists of approx. 7-8 dual meets vs. other Catholic Schools in the NSCHSGAA League. Our “home” meets are held on Sat. evenings.  We also have one non-league meet in Jan. (boys and girls teams) vs. Paul VI which is a travel meet every other year. ** This year will be a home meet hosted by St. Anthony’s swim team and their parents.

Champs:  is a two day Trial/Final pre-seeded meet.  It is mandatory to attend this meet whether you are swimming in the meet or not.  For more info on Champs:  please see the article in the “Coaches Corner” of our website.  www.FriarSwimming.com

States:  Qualifying times are posted on our web site.  Please click on the “cut times” button.  States this year will be held at Ithaca College.

Emily Bardak & finished 10th overall in the 500 free and was part of the 400 freestyle team that set a new school recored. 
Briana Gellineau Newsday First Team All Long Island, Set 2 new school records in the 200 and 500 free. 6th overall in the 500 and 3rd in the 200 at States. Member of the 400 freestyle relay that won leagues and placed 3rd at states and set a new school recored for the relay.  

Head Coach Dan McBride has been with St. Anthony's for 29yrs and holds a 240-11 record. 18 League Championships, 7 Catholic HS State Championships, named Coach of the Year 17 times and 3 time LI Coach of year.

Our meet was started with Kayla Rutigliano, Danielle Pikulik, Emily Bardak, and Brianna Gellineau qualifying St. Anthony's Medley Relay for States in Ithaca in November.  That is a huge swim that opens up many options for Champs. 

Gabby Matuttat swam a beautiful 100 fly followed by Kayla Rutigliano's 55.7 100 free. 

Emily Bardak qualified her 3rd State qualifying event with a 53.8 100 free!

Freshman Catherine Iorio volunteered to swim the 500 free only to win the event.  

The Friar fans continued to cheer as Kayla Rutigliano and Briana Gellineau BOTH qualified for States in the 100 back!  It was incredible to watch.  Still excited from the backstroke...

Danielle Pikulik swims a 1:09.1 in the 100 breast and once again brought the stands to its feet!

What a night for the Friars.

Briana placed 3rd overall in NY STATE the 200 free with a 1:52.07

Broke a 13 year old St. Anthony's school record in the 500 free (formerly held by Jackie Fasano and was a former CHSAA league record) and placing 6th overall with a 5:00.10!
